“How can I help my child be comfortable for his surgery?”
My son has a minor surgery coming up, and I don't want him to feel nervous or stressed. Is there anything that I can do to help him feel comfortable?

Watch the procedure on You Tube.
The first thing I would tell you is DO NOT BE NERVOUS YOURSELF. Your child will most likely stay calm if you do and you can make them be OK with what is going to happen. You and everyone else should act like it is no big deal. Your son will do fine.
