How can I reduce swelling after a rhinoplasty?

I'm 25, and I recently had a rhinoplasty. Now I noticed that there is swelling around my nose and I had this surgery 2 and a half weeks ago. Are there ways for me to reduce the swelling? I'm not sure if a cold or heat compress will work.

That is very little time since your surgery. I always advise to wait for a few months as everyone heals very differently from a rhinoplasty. You may talk to your surgeon about the swelling if it is a concern as often they may want to inject you with kenalog. For now I advise you to use a ice pack as it’s only a couple weeks out!
Unfortunately there are no ideal interventions that could address swelling after rhinoplasty surgery. Hot or cold doesn’t make a difference. There is some suggestion that taping the nose for periods after the surgery may help. If you find it awkward wearing tape during the day you may consider taping it at night. The only thing that really helps is time. It will get better
What you describe is completely normal and will resolve on its own. However, this is a gradual process and you won’t see your final result for several months. There is no magical way to speed it along. Be patient.
