“How can one treat a laxative addiction?”
I'm a 28-year-old male. Due to chronic constipation, I've been taking laxatives for years and now it feels like I'm addicted. How can one treat a laxative addiction?

You are not "addicted" to laxatives. Your colon is slow, so you may be dependent on laxatives, but this did not happen because you used laxatives. The primary problem is a slow colon, which should be treated. You should have a full evaluation by a GI doctor to make a proper diagnosis and get you on appropriate medications to help.
