My toddler has a minor head injury. How do I know if my toddler's head injury is serious?

Hi, Iām so sorry he injured his head. First 24hrs after injury are important for observation. If he has headache, changes in behavior, vomiting, loss of appetite, vision changes you would definitely need to bring him in. I would monitor for any of the above carefully and see how he does.

Signs that your toddler head injury may be serious include : 1) whether there was any loss of consciousness after the fall 2) if there is a bum or lump on the side (temple) of his head 3) any episodes of vomiting 4) not acting at baseline ... these are some of the things i would be watching out for.
