How do I stop having a lisp?

I am a 34 year old female. I have a high-pitched lisp and feel embarrassed. How do I stop having a lisp?

Your best bet would be to consult with a speech language pathologist. They can help determine why you are lisping and design a program to help you correct your lisp. If you are motivated and willing to practice, you should be able to minimize your lisp.
Get speech therapy
Get some speech therapy to help correct this issue. It will not go away ( more than likely) on its own. Good luck
I recommend going to a speech pathologist
High pitch is a voice concern superimposed by the lisp which is more articulation. You can consider getting an evaluation at a voice center with a speech language pathologist and sharing your goals there. Without conducting a personal evaluation on you I cannot ethically give you advice specific to your situation.
You can work with a speech therapist who will provide you with strategies to help reduce the lisp. Therapy will consist of high frequency, low duration, and high repetitions to help retrain the muscles.
Hi,

I wish it was a quick fix but it is not. The best way to improve it is to seek out a speech language pathologist for an evaluation and treatment. In the mean time, try closing your teeth together, smiling, and saying sssss. If that doesn’t work, try saying “t-t-t-tssssss”.
