How do you check for arrhythmia at home?

I suspect my 12 year old has a heart arrhythmia. I want to know how can I check for arrhythmia at home?

You can get an event recorder from cardiologist office and wear it for 2 weeks and it will give you information in detail.
EKG and 24-hour holter monitor will help.
There are heart rate monitors on phones and watches, but they are not always very accurate, particularly at high heart rates. They also won’t tell you the type of arrhythmia because they do not produce an EKG that can be read by a doctor. If you suspect an arrhythmia, I would discuss it with your primary care doctor and see if he/she thinks a referral to a cardiologist would be indicated.
