Dentist Questions tooth pain

How do you soothe an irritated tooth?

My tooth feels irritated and hurts really badly, especially while I'm eating. Is there anything I can do to soothe an irritated tooth?

It is difficult to say because I don't know the reason your tooth hurts. You can try to use a natural anti inflammatory substance such as black seed oil or arnica but if the nerve is infected you will probably need a root canal or extraction.
An irritated tooth is analogous to an engine light on your dashboard. It is warning you of an impending problem with your tooth. Ignoring this important sign will undoubtedly lead to a severe tooth problem in no time. See your local dentist ASAP. In the meantime, use pain relievers such as Tylenol, Motrin, or Aspirin as directed on the label. These medications work to block pain receptors in the brain. They do NOT work at the site of the pain; ie, do NOT grind them up and put it in your tooth. Aspirin, especially, is actually a strong acid, (Acetylsalicylic Acid, abbreviated ASA), and will cause a chemical burn on your cheeks and tongue if you try this old wives' tale.
Pain on biting or releasing the bite may mean there is a crack in the tooth. A dentist can evaluate how severe the crack is, and what the best option is. There are no home remedies that would fix this.
Rub oil of cloves on the gum and around the tooth

I would see a dentist straight away. Take an Advil if able to take.
Seeing a dentist would be good.
