“How effective is the tuberculosis vaccine?”
My daughter just received her vaccine for tuberculosis. How effective is this vaccine today? Would she need a booster vaccine in the future?

The BCG vaccine for TB is generally considered not particularly effective and for that reason is not used in the US. In countries where TB is really prevalent, BCG is still administered to reduce some level of risk. BCG is only given once.
