Geriatric Psychiatrist Questions Geriatric Depression

How is geriatric depression treated?

My grandmother is 80 years old and seems very depressed. She doesn't have any motivation to do anything. We're taking her to our primary care doctor because of this. If she is diagnosed with depression, how will it be treated?
