“How long do ceramic implants last?”
I am a 45 year old male and I will get ceramic implants. How long do ceramic implants last?

It depends if you are a bruxer or not (grind your teeth). I usually put my patients on night guards after implants, and it prolongs the longevity of the crowns.
No one can ever guarantee or tell you with certainty the longevity of any restoration in your mouth. Though as dentists we try our best to give your the strongest and best material for your mouth conditions, chips cracks or beaks may still occur because you are constantly using your mouth for chewing. Think of your teeth restorations as the tires on your car. Your individual driving habits to a large degree determine the longevity and condition of your tires and when they will be needed to be replaced.
It all depends on how well you take care of them, but implants are the longest lasting restoration in dentistry. They can last 30 years or more, but if you have gum disease or grind your teeth, it could be less.

If conditions, surgical techniques, proper implant selection and size, follow-ups, oral hygiene, and bite relationships are right, they should last a lifetime. The same applies to titanium implants really. In contrast to titanium, however, ceramic has the added advantage of less risk for peri-implantitis.
