Take your braces off and get retainers. Retainers are forever. The first 6 months is 24/7, and then night only FOREVER.
That depends on your individual condition and treatment. Ask the Orthodontist and they can tell you.
Teeth can be straight, but for stability after braces removed it takes time to move the root of the teeth into the perfect spot. This can take 6-9 months to finish.

"Retention is for life." What this means is that your teeth can relapse, move back anytime after completion of your treatment. One has to aware of this possibility. Retainers are strongly recommended to prevent this from happening. A bonded wire retainer will free you up from having to wear a removable retainer and will last longer.
