It all depends on the procedure. If something like an upper GI series or arthrogram, just a few minutes; something like a complex vascular procedure may take hours.

It depends on the fluoroscopy procedure, but generally, an UGI takes less than 5 minutes and a barium enema takes less than 15 to 20 minutes.
