How long does it take for a knee replacement to heal?

I just had a knee replacement 4 weeks ago. How long does it take for a knee replacement to heal? I am a truck driver but I am on my feet a lot.

The first 6 weeks are the toughest. Usually patients are doing very well by 3-4 months, but maximum recovery can take 6-9 months.
10-12 weeks
It will typically take at least 3 months before you will feel ready to return to work as a truck driver. It could take a little longer depending on specific job demands.
Hi,

It usually takes 8-12 weeks for the total knee replacement to feel normal. The patient can walk with full weight bearing with a walker right after the operation in the same day, The patient will advance to walk with a cane as he tolerates The wound will heal completely in 2 weeks. With the physical therapy, the patient will gain the normal motion in 4-6 weeks. The knee's strength will be normal in 8-12 weeks. You can drive as soon as you can gain good motion of the right knee and when you stop taking pain medication (about 3-4 week).
Recovery after knee replacement goes through various stages. Recovery time depends on preoperative, function, deformity, amount of arthritis, range of motion and associated general health conditions. Average time for recovery after total knee replacement is 6-9 months. Out of work depends on the patient, which might be 3-4 months.
Thanks.
