It depends on the person. It can take several days to up to a couple of months. It depends on how many adjustments are needed and how often one can get into to have them adjusted
That usually differs greatly from one patient to another. If after a month, your denture does not feel comfortable, I contact the dentist. At your age you should have enough bone and the denture should be relatively comfortable and stable.
There is definitely a learning curve to dentures and "settling" is a good way to describe it. Speaking with them can take a week or two (if all things are measured correctly and phonetics are good). If you are speaking about sore spots, that would need adjusting. Sore spots won't get better just by getting "used to" dentures. We don't create calluses in our mouth. If you have a spot that is rubbing, you need to see your dentist for an adjustment. There may be a few of these types of visits as once one spot is relieved, another can pop up. Wear the dentures as much as possible as this is the fastest way to find the areas that need adjustment and to get used to your new prosthetic.

Good luck,

If the denture's made properly, it should not take more than two weeks to settle in. If you do not have enough bone to support the denture, then it might not settle in even after a long time. You may need to inquire about implants to support your denture. With the technology available these days, implant dentistry is much more desirable.
Many factors to consider. Bone structure, soft tissue consistency, full or partial denture, recent extractions, etc. This question is better answered by the dentist who inserted your case.
That question is difficult to answer.
"Settle in " , I assume you mean to become adjusted to having dentures. It can be varied on a number of factors. Were the dentures immediate dentures ? (Remaining front teeth and dentures delivered.) Healing needs to take place, dentures need to be adjusted. Speak with your provider's office they can give you more precise answers to your questions.
It would take 2-3 weeks for new dentures to settle. Persistency is key and you should try to wear your dentures as much as possible so your tissue and habits will be built around it.
