I am a 23 year old male and my gums are swollen. How long does it take for gum swelling to go down?

The underlying cause of inflammation (swelling) has to go away before you see improvement. If it is due to gum disease after cleaning, it takes about 4 weeks.
Depends on why you’re having gum swelling to begin with? Gingivitis? Abscess?
