I am a 49-year-old male and I will have a vitrectomy. How long does it take to have clear vision after vitrectomy?

If a gas bubble or silicone oil has been used, it may take weeks or even months for the vision to improve.
Vision clearing after vitrectomy varies. It can take weeks to months and sometimes need additional procedures to recover vision; these can include cataract surgery or silicone oil removal. The answer typically depends on the condition treated and the substance used to fill the vitreous cavity as a part of the surgery.
This depends on what the surgery is done for, whether there will be gas or silicone oil placed, your body's natural healing abilities, and what position requirements there are after surgery. It can be anywhere from a week to months.

Several weeks. Longer term you will develop a cataract that will likely need surgery. SO
It depends if they put gas in the eye. How long the gas lasts. It could be 6 weeks. If a cataract develops, it could blur the vision in the future.
