“How long does it take to recover from a discectomy?”
I am a 45 year old male. I am unable to may my follow-up appointment because of covid-19. How long does it take to recover from a discectomy?

It depends on the preference of your surgeon. For me, limit bending and twisting of the spine and no lifting more than 10-15 pounds for 6 weeks. After that, no restriction.
If just a disc, not very long, 6-7 weeks.
