How long does sedation last after an endoscopy?

I am a 58 year old male. I will have an endoscopy under sedation. How long does sedation last after an endoscopy?

It depends on the person giving you these drugs. He/She should not give you any long acting drugs. It is not painful afterward; if he did a good job, you should be talking after the surgeon is done before leaving the OR suite, but you may not remember that.
Depends upon the patient and general condition, but in a healthy one, could be one hour.
Usually just a few minutes

From Christopher Creighton
Typically, you’ll be awake and alert within an hour following your endoscopy. It may be an additional hour if the endoscopy takes longer than about 15 mins. The longer the endoscopy, the greater the amount of sedation you’ll be given.
Usually if endoscopy is less than 30 minutes wake up is rapid. However, you should not plan to drive your car or operate machinery or make important decisions for 12-24 hours.
