How long does swelling last after hand surgery?

I am a 25 year old male. I want to know how long does swelling last after hand surgery?

It depends on your innate healing/repair capabilities, 4-8 weeks.
It depends on the surgery. But it can last up to 6 months. And sometimes 1 year on occasion.

This really depends upon the type of surgery and the reason for the surgery, such as an injury versus a diagnosis such as carpal tunnel release surgery. That being said, it can sometimes take at least a couple of months, sometimes longer, for swelling to fully resolve after hand surgery.
