Influenza symptoms in children usually last from 7-14 days, with the worse of the symptoms the first 7 days.

7-10 days on average. If he has any other conditions such as asthma, respiratory symptoms may last longer.
Usually about a week but the dry cough can last 6 weeks. If he gets sudden high fever or worsening he can have a secondary bacterial infection and needs to be seen right away.
