Many patients have it last for many years or until they develop cataracts later in life. Some patients do experience regression; the chances of that happening to you depend on what your prescription is (how nearsighted or farsighted), your age, and other factors.

It depends on the original prescription, but usually till a person is 50-60 years of age and crystalline lens changes affect vision.
It works well till you are 40 years old. Thereafter, you need reading glasses.
