As often as needed to correct the problem, assuming that there is structural mal-alignment.
As often as possible. I recommend 2 times per month for maintenance
It has less to do with your age, and more to do with "the age of your problem". As with all health issues; early detection and early correction, is always the way that you want to go. To answer your question; short of having some sort of complicating factor such as: osteoporosis, bone cyst(s), boney fusions, ect...(which is why it is important to have x-rays taken prior to being adjusted) it is possible to be adjusted up to once per day. Once, daily, not more than once per day.
How often you should get an adjustment depends on what stage of care you are in, what your history is, and many other factors. Most of my patients who are in the maintenance stage of care get an adjustment every couple weeks or once/month. You should talk to your chiropractor about what they would recommend for you if you are in maintenance care.

Maintenance care is a great approach to prevent future episodes. Your chiropractor should be able to determine how often and it may depend on what issues you may have going on. It could be anywhere from 1 month to every few months.
In a perfect world we would all get a spinal check and potentially and adjustment once a week. That is what most chiropractors do for themselves and their families. There may be situations that you get adjusted even every day for a few days such as with symptomatic care. Less often than once a week would be solely personal preference.
This depends if you have an acute injury, chronic issue, or just want preventative care. In my opinion, unless something is very acute, once per week is sufficient until we see improvement, then we decrease frequency of care. I also think it's a good idea to get an adjustment at least twice per year to prevent a chronic condition in the future, similar to dental cleanings.
Everyone is different. Some people benefit with a monthly adjustment, to release stress and tension, or optimize energy levels. Research has shown that chiropractic adjustments improve brain function. As a practitioner that has treated hundreds of world class athletes, I know adjustments improve bodily function & the quality of life.
