Acupuncture, combined with massage and herbs, can help relieve nerve pain gradually.
Deepening of your symptoms
it depends on the pain, anywhere from 1-3 times a week until the symptoms subside.
It depends on your condition. Some people respond quicker, some slower.
Every person is different depending on the problem and the situation. Most of our patients feel 60%-80% less pain in the first session. It can take 1-2, and for injuries or other severe problems, more times.
IT REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR ACUPUNCTURIST. I GENERALLY ACESS THAT AFTER FIRST TREATMENT SEEING THE RESULT.
It depends on the severity of the pain, but starting with treatment 1-2x per week is typically recommended so the treatments can build on one another.
It really depends on how new the pain is and how your body responds to acupuncture. You should quickly get a feel for that once you begin treatments.

Acute pain is typically treated more frequently 1-3 times a week. Chronic pain is usually treated less often for a longer period of time.

Thank you for your question.

All treatments are patient and condition specific. Therefore, there’s no set the dosing for acupuncture. Like a medication, or physical therapy, etc., you may need intensive treatment for a short period, or a long period. You may need treatment for a lifetime. Again, patient and condition specific.

Totally depends on what is wrong with what nerve and for how long? 14 treatments is a good place to start
Good morning,

Acupuncture for nerve pain all depends on the cause and the differentiation. Usually, it takes 2 times a week for 3 weeks, but talk to your acupuncturist.

As each person's nerve pain issue is different, your Licensed Acupuncturist will make a differential diagnosis of your symptoms and along with you, make an appropriate therapy schedule.
It's a broad question but in general, you can get acupuncture treatment twice a week until the nerve pain gets better. Once your condition improves, you may feel less radiating pain, numbness, tingling, etc. Your skin will be less sensitive to touch. It's important to identify which nerves are pinching and where you have pinching. Once an acupuncturist identifies the location right, he/she can feel immediate relief from pinch and roll test.
I start with treatments twice a week, and then when the pain goes down and stays down between treatments, I spread them out to once a week, then once every two weeks, and so on until it doesn't come back anymore.
Every day.
It depends on how severe and pain is, what is causing it, what else is being done, etc. If it's very acute, your acupuncturist might want to give treatments 2-3 times a week until the pain lessens then stretch the treatments out.
This is a question that would probably get different answers from different style practitioners. I usually do 2 treatments the first week and weekly thereafter. Sometimes with patients in intense pain, I may do twice a week treatments. It varies from patient to patient.
Yes, this is something we can help you with.
Depends on how often you are having the pain and how high on the pain scale it is. Once or twice a week could really be helpful, and we have herbs that help with nerve pain.
Twice a week, please.
That is dependent on the cause of the nerve pain. Generally speaking, however, treatments start at once per week. Once you start feeling lasting improvement, the treatment frequency decreases.
If the pain is chronic, recommend 1 or 2 times a week
2 or 3 times a week.
This is a good question and it's something every potential acupuncture patient should be asking of their provider. I specialize in pain management and I have a general rule of thumb I employ to figure out how often a patient needs to be seen.

If your pain levels are routinely below 5-6/10 on the VAS pain scale, then we can usually get good results at one treatment per week for 4-5 weeks.

On the other hand, if your pain levels are routinely above 6/10 on the VAS pain scale, then it's very helpful to have 2-3 treatments per week for a couple of weeks. Usually this will bring the pain levels down to the 5'ish range and we can go to one treatment per week until we find the maintenance interval or the pain resolves.

You shouldn't be expected to commit to several treatments per week for an indefinite interval. Likewise, you shouldn't have to receive treatment once per week for the rest of your life. Generally as the pain starts to come under control, we start to spread the treatments out until we find some level of tolerance. On the low end this can be one treatment every 4-6 weeks, on the high end it could be one treatment per year.
