I am a 36 year old male. I will have a procedure under spinal anesthesia. How painful is spinal anesthesia?

Before administration of spinal block, you get local injection of lidocaine. Sensation is something like a dental procedure. With your cooperation, it will be fast and easy. With the spinal block, you may feel sensations, but it's not supposed to be painful.
