“How serious is an infected wisdom tooth?”
I think my right bottom wisdom tooth is infected. The pain is intensifying by the hour, and I have a sore throat as well. What should I do?

Hello,
You should definitely schedule with your dentist to have them either remove the wisdom teeth, or to get a referral for an oral surgeon to have them done. If you are not able to get the extractions scheduled soon. It is advisable to start on antibiotics as soon as you can as well (this will also help with the pain.) The infection from the wisdom teeth can spread into other parts of your body such as your lymph nodes, thus causing the sore throat.
