Posture control, chiropractic adjustments, posture exercises, and minimize your screen time.
Hi there, for sure don’t sleep on your stomach. You can try on your back with a pillow under your knees a small pillow under your neck. If you’re a side sleeper, a pillow between your knees and a slightly thicker pillow under your neck.
That’s a great question. You would need an exam and X-rays to diagnose why you have that postural presentation. A multi-pronged approach that will help alleviate that posture if it is deemed correctable would be to sleep on the back, strengthen the postural muscles, adjust bio mechanical misalignments, and evaluate habits contributing to postural decay.
Sleep with one pillow. More than one cause neck pain.
Sleep will not fix rounded shoulders or any other postural problems. The questions should be; What is causing the condition? Is it structural or functional? Have you had a proper examination? I can't tell what is wrong and what needs to be done without a proper hands on examination. The questions that I would ask are: 1. Have you injured our back? 2. What sports have you played? 3. Have you had any accidents? Did you have any fall as a child? Other questions would come up during an examination. If there is no structural component then manipulation and stretching exercises are appropriate. Google my name and download my exercises.
Face up (supine) with proper shoulder and neck support.
It’s best to sleep on your back with you legs elevated about 30 degrees. While on your back be sure to roll your shoulders back and then relax in that position.
Sleeping on your back or chest will help, but by itself will not fully correct the problem.
You can't.
Sleeping on your back would be the best way to fix rounded shoulders, as gravity would help to pull then backward.
