Ice + compression + Tylenol, add in some Advil with food but be careful with meds
Usually in a recliner or propped up with pillows
Non injured side down and hold several pillows.
It helps to place a pillow under the elbow or between the elbow and your body and sleep on the opposite side or sleep in a recliner.
However you can get comfortable. Try to move the arm around until you find a position that work. Alternating ice and heat can help. If it bothers you too long then you should get it evaluated for specific injury. Address it early & properly!
It depends on if it is dislocated or just strained. Try anti-inflammatories first and ice it for the swelling.
Very good question to which there is no simple answer. Some shoulder pain clients get rest by side sleeping laying on the opposite shoulder. Others go straight on their back with a pillow under the arm of the affected shoulder. Best of Luck.
You could sleep in a recliner or prop up in bed with multiple pillows.
I would try to sleep on your back or avoid sleeping on your side.
