If he is doing better in the next couple of hours there's nothing more you need to do. If he continues to have problems he needs to see an ophthalmologist. You don't want to mess with the young child's vision.
Copiously irrigate eye with water. Go see an ophthalmologist if any symptoms such as irritation or blurry vision persist.
