“I got bit by something and my hand is bruised, what should I do?”
I was cutting the ivy on outside of house and felt a pick, didn't see anything bite me but the right side of my left wrist area got a really huge bump so i just put mud on it. It still hurts. What should I do?

Why mud? Mud contains lots of bacteria and fungi that could cause all kinds of infections if there is a break in the skin. Use ice. Keep your hand elevated. Use tylenol or (motrin or Alleve) for the pain. Is the swollen area black and blue?? Or red? If it itches take some benadryl (one or two over the counter 25 mg tablets an hour before you go to bed because they will make you sleepy). If you run a fever, see a physician as soon as possible. Do not squeeze it, pinch it press on it, needle it or cut it. You are NOT going to get anything out of there and by doing those things you will spread any bacteria or infection present further into your hand, wrist and arm.
Go see a medical professional. Mud is not the answer.
