“Is a saline nasal spray safe for kids?”
My 3 year old has nasal congestion. Is he too young for a nasal spray? Is a saline nasal spray safe for kids?

This is my suggestion. Get good quality peppermint oil. Rub 2 drops of peppermint oil on the sole of both feet and put on the socks. Let him drink adequate amount of water for the day and see how he feels. god bless.
Saline nasal spray is safe but not nessesary . The doctor will find out the cause and treat him accordingly
Normal saline nasal spray should be safe. For kiddos, I would recommend an allergy pill (children's claritin or zyrtec) as first line.
Saline sprays are very safe for children as well as adults. I recommended them frequently in my practice. I do recommend sensitizing the tip of the bottle before and after usage to help prevent contamination of its contents as well as any cross-contamination if other people are using the solution.
Saline nose spray is safe for very young children to relieve mucus. You can then suction the nose or let them sneeze the mucus out. Some 3 year olds can blow their nose.
