“Is a zirconia crown better than porcelain?”
I am a 35 year old female. I want to know if a zirconia crown is better than porcelain?

Yes, Zirconia crowns are better than porcelain crowns, and we specifically are talking about BruxZir® solid zirconia crowns (best crowns).

Porcelain is more cosmetic. Zirconia is stronger and not as cosmetic. Zirconia with porcelain pressed to it, is more cosmetic than plain Zirconia and stronger than all porcelain. So, Zirconia is not better, each is better when the dentist makes the right choice for the right problem.

It depends.... Zirconia is just a type of porcelain used for dental restorations. It depends on where in the mouth it is being used - front or back tooth and what it is being used for - such as a crown or a veneer or an onlay
Zirconia is stronger than porcelain, however, it lacks the aesthetics of porcelain. Generally, zirconia is used in an area where there are heavier biting forces, like molars. Porcelain is better suited for front teeth. Porcelain is still very strong and can be used on molars.
