Acupuncture, massage, and herbs can be very helpful in reliving the pain associated with arthritis in your hands.
Yes! Some of my earliest memories are of seeing my mom get acupuncture for her arthritis in her hands - it can help quite a lot.
Great question, and yes, acupuncture is good for arthritis in the hands. I find that patients can get very good results especially when I use Tung style acupuncture for this. Follow your acupuncturist's advice on food selection and herbal remedies, and you should be able to have notable improvement soon.
Good luck!

Thank you for your question,
In general acupuncture can be helpful for pain, including arthritis.
At the age of 39, arthritis would be unusual to be severe, be sure to make sure that you have a thorough medical evaluation to look for causes such as rheumatoid and so you can have complete medical care for what is causing arthritis in your hands. And to make sure that it is arthritis causing pain. If it is only mechanical arthritis, occupational therapist may be helpful (That is a physical therapist for the hands). To help show you how to preserve your joints from here on out.

Yes, it can help with arthritis. You might also try eliminating gluten from your diet as it is one of the biggest inflammatory foods out there.

In student clinic, many winters ago, I treated a 70-something patient with bulging knuckles in her hands and sever arthritic pain. Within a couple treatments, she was pain free and the swelling at the joints visibly reduced.
Acupuncture can be good to help relieve symptoms. It does not cure arthritis. More importantly, why does a 39-year-old have arthritis in her hand? That would be a good question for your doctor because that is relatively young to develop a degenerative condition.

The answer is that it possible may alleviate your symptoms from arthritis, but it will not actually alter the condition. Meaning, it will not prevent the arthritis from progressing.
