“Is anesthesia safe for people over 70?”
My 72 year old aunt needs a surgery under anesthesia. Is anesthesia safe for people over 70?

It's okay.
Yes. Anesthesia is generally safer than driving a car. It all depends on the severity of underlying illnesses. People with significant heart or lung illnesses will have higher risks. But age is not a significant concern in and of itself.
