“Is it dangerous to smoke while wearing the patch?”
I started wearing a nicotine patch recently, but just one. The other day I couldn't help myself though--bad day at work. I smoked a couple of cigarettes, with 21 mg patch. I'm pretty disappointed in myself. Is smoking with a patch dangerous? What else can I do to help me quit? (and trust me I want to quit)

We used to tell everyone wearing the patch never to smoke while using it. Turns out that's not true; nothing much happens. But if you get too much nicotine in your blood, it will make you sick at your stomach. The better choice is to use nicotine lozenges like Commit, also over-the-counter, for when the desire to smoke arises.
