“Is a pain medicine consultation required if I had drug addiction?”
I had a drug addiction but I've been clean for 2 years, after going to rehab. Now that I'm 28, I need to have my top wisdom teeth removed and I obviously can't have opioids. Should I go for a consultation with a pain specialist to see how I can manage this pain without them?

It may not be necessary as the pain associated with this procedure is better controlled with a NSAID like ibuprofen anyway. A muscle relaxant may be used in addition to help with any jaw muscle spasm.
