Neurologist Questions Slurred speech

My speech has started to slur after a fall I had. Could it be a temporary issue?

I had a fall recently and since then, my speech has started to make me stammer on my words. Could this indicate a brain injury? Should I see a neurologist?

Could be. Stammering can be psychiatric, neurologic, or a localized ENT problem. Don't have enough history or symptoms to give a useful answer. Would see a neurologist to pin this down. Perhaps your family doctor if in a hurry. Good luck!
You should go to the emergency department for evaluation and imaging of your brain. This could be bleeding as a consequence of the fall. Or, you may have had a fall due to a brain problem, such as a stroke. Without a diagnosis, I cannot offer suggestion of what you should expect in terms of improvement. Please do not ignore this new problem. If you develop any new sudden headache, visual problem, worsening of speech, dizziness/loss of balance, or new limb weakness, numbness, or clumsiness, please dial 911 immediately. Every minute matters during stroke.
It could be temporary (post-concussive), but should be checked out. Please see your pcp or a neurologist asap.
Absolutely. Brain contusion, subdural bleed, etc., all should be considered in your differential diagnosis.
Probably, or a CNS vascular event just coincided with the fall, neuro-exam and brain MRI would be the best start.
