Pediatrician Questions Eating Issues with Children

Should kids also have 5 small meals a day?

My daughter eats about 2 times a day, but each time she over eats and ends up vomiting a little. She is currently 2 years old and she is falling under her weight bracket. Should I start giving her 5 meals a day for her even when she is so young or should I leave her normal eating pattern?

Since she is not gaining adequately and overeating when she eats, She may need to be reminded to eat even before she is hungry. Most children eat 3 meals and 2 snacks but small amounts each time.
Try to follow common practice of breakfast, lunch and dinner with perhaps milk and cookie at night. Yogurt can be the equivalent of a glass of milk.
