I am considering a laser hair removal procedure to get rid of my facial hair. How successful are these procedures? And does it hurt when done on the face?

We speak of Laser Hair reduction. It depends upon how dark the hair and how many treatments and what type of laser used. It can be very successful when done right. It does not really hurt but if you are sensitive, a topical anesthetic cream can be used. See a board certified dermatologist.
Permanent hair removal means no hair regrowth within one year. The cost is about the same price as doing electrolysis weekly for a year. Laser reduces the number of hair removal sessions.
