Is laser treatment safe for getting rid of warts?

I have a few warts (one of them is quite large) on the back of my hand. Someone told me they can be removed through laser treatment. Is this true, and if so, is the laser treatment safe?

Yes, it is safe to remove a wart with a laser. The objective is to separate the wart from your hand, and that can be done with surgery, cryotherapy, topical acid, laser, and any other method which removes the infected tissue. I have found that the most successful and least expensive method is cryotherapy which involves freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen or CO2. This literally causes a frostbite of the tissue which then sloughs off in a week to ten days. Sometimes very large warts need more than one treatment.
