“How does metformin help treat PCOD?”
I have PCOD and the doctor has asked me to take metformin to manage it. I thought that this medication was mainly for diabetic patients, why would it help my PCOD?

Metformin can reduce insulin levels in women with PCOS and may also decrease androgen levels.
