Neurologist (Pediatric) Questions Neurosurgery

My son is slurring his words after a neuroendoscopy.

After having a neuroendoscopy for hyrdrocephalus, my son is now slurring his words days after the procedure. Is this a common side effect of the surgery? Would this pass on its own, or should I take him to his doctor ASAP?

He should see his doctor right away and may need an MRI scan. It is possible to have bleeding after the surgery or some other reason for it that needs to be evaluated.
This is not a common side effect of that sort of surgery. I think it would be wise to call the surgeon and discuss with the surgeon directly
Take him back to see his doctor.
