There are many reasons why someone may have ear pain: Ear issues - ear infection, trauma, foreign body, excessive wax (rare cause) Jaw joint pain even throat sources of pain and along the tonsil can radiate pain deep into the ear.
Persistent ear pain is always best examined by an ENT physician, as soon as feasible. There are many possible causes. About half of all ear pain is from ear disease, usually infection.
Yes, ear pain could certainly be a sign of an ear infection. You should go in to get it checked at an Urgent Care or with your doctor, if they are seeing patients at this uncertain time. Other potential causes for ear pain include: (1) jaw clenching, (2) a tooth infection, (3) impacted ear wax, etc. Be well!
It could be an ear infection, but we would have to see the patient in order to make a diagnosis.

Ear pain has different causes. If you have an ear infection, often there will be hearing loss at the same time. TMJ disorder is a very common cause of ear pain. Many times this can cause ear pain, especially in patients under stress. An exam by an ENT will often give you the answer.
Hello,

It could be ear pain from an ear infection. However, it could also be ear pain from dental source, jaw or another nearby site. Recommend to see an ENT physician.

Otalgia (ear pain) is a symptom of infections of outer or middle ear, muscular spasms, and referred pain from “throat conditions.”

Could be. See an ENT if persists. Many causes for ear pain are unrelated to infection.
