Normally 8 to 20 sessions 60 minutes each session
You should address this to your physical therapist after initial evaluation. This type of problem goes away quickly except it’s chronic
Depends on the intensity of pain. Dry needling done appropriately will help.
That is a loaded question and it depends.... If you are a runner or athlete and do not wish to take a break while recovering then it will take longer but still can recover. I would suggest swimming or biking for exercise if you can while you go through therapy and then make sure to do your home exercises, as they will help speed your recovery. The general answer is about 6 weeks or so.
Unfortunately there has not been any research that proves that any treatment for shin splints is effective. Orthotics, stretching and strengthening as well as ice may help to treat the symptoms, but we actually do not know the exact cause of shin splints. Stopping running for a time usually with allow the area to rest and heal, but often times comes back when they start to run again. Hope this helps.
2-4 weeks, depending on your compliance.
