What can I do to prevent a ringworm infection?

In the past month, I have had ringworm twice. I am now scared that I will get it again. What can I do to prevent a ringworm infection?

Recurrent ring worm can be a relapse because you did not get rid of it the first time, or because you have been re-exposed by contact with a person or pet with the infection or because some of your clothes towels or bed linens are contaminated.
Avoidance of contact is how you prevent it.
