Hospice and Palliative Care Specialist Questions Bacterial Infections

How can one prevent bacterial infection in a hospital environment?

My mother is in the ICU and is having a recurring bacterial infection that is perhaps from the ventilator tube as she is on life support. How can these infections be prevented?

Any foreign bodies/tubes in our bodies do increase the risk for infection. Please reach out to your primary physician and lung doctors to learn more specifics in regards to your mother's case.
