A medicine expired yesterday. Can I still have it?

I have medicine in my first aid box for indigestion, but I just saw it expired yesterday. Can I still have it?

If it states an expiration date that has passed, you should not take the medication.
I would recommend no longer taking that medication!
It is unsafe to used expired medications. Over time medications degrade and lose potency, and the potential effects that could arise from expired medications may be dangerous. Please notify your physician for an updated prescription.
You still can use it, it’s not going to harm you. The expiration date by the manufacturer is the date when the active ingredient of the medication would not provide 100% effective. The effect will be less, but the medication would not cause a side effect.
