I'm having surgery in a couple of weeks to realign my teeth. How long will I be under general anesthesia and are there side effects?

My badly misaligned teeth are being surgically repaired in a couple of weeks. About how long will I be under general anesthesia and will there be side effects from the anesthesia? I'm nervous about the surgical procedure and perhaps even more nervous about the general anesthesia, which I've never had before.

The time of anesthesia depends on several factors including your surgeon, the operation and accommodations the center can provide. Anesthesia can be nerve racking but your anesthesiologist will help with that! Anesthesia can at times cause some nausea or body aches but your anesthesiologist can help you!
