I have small white spots on my gums. What could be the reason for this?

White spots on your gums can be caused by different reasons. With proper clinical examination, the periodontist will help you address this issue. I recommend a consult with a periodontist to find and treat what is causing the white spots.
it is best to have those checked out. If they are persistent, it might be wise to have it biopsied to rule out any concerns

There are a number of reasons for white spots on your gums. You should have them evaluated. Smokeless tobacco is a major cause. Some viruses can cause white spots. Also, you could have a fungal infection.
White spots or white lesions could be the result of some type of trauma, i.e., hard crust on bread, etc. It can also be caused by a bacterial or viral infection.
Sometimes that is seen in smokers. There are many reasons, you should get that checked by an oral surgeon or your dentist.
