How does respiratory therapy work in treating pulmonary disorders? Do therapists usually prescribe medications?

No only the physicians can order meds
They don’t prescribe, neither does a nurse, a physical therapist, or occupational, we provide therapist to people to improve on body parts your trying to function better. No medication will ever exist to fix non compliant lungs or the muscles that open up the airway and getting them stronger but exercise therapy. Most of my guys that get a 50% increase in lung functions had to do with therapy, not medication.
