My father needs to have an open heart surgery. I would like to know what are the possible risks involved in this surgery?

There are always risks to any surgery. You need to talk to the doctor with all your worry and questions. It is important for you to not let your father know if you are worried about him. He needs to know that you support him and he has you and everyone praying for him and you know he will be OK. I wish you and your father well.
